GBPS Iftar with Orphanage Students and Security Staff

On Monday evening (18 March), Gono Bishwabidyalay Photographic Society (GBPS) arranged an Iftar distribution program at Khejurtake Rahmania Madrasa Orphanage and Gono University’s central playground.

The event was organized to bring smiles during the holy month of Ramadan. Around 45 orphanage students (Hafiz of the Qur’an) and 11 night-shift security guards received Iftar. Organizers mentioned that sharing Iftar with those who guard the campus at night and assist students in their daily movements was a truly heartwarming experience.

Dr. Md. Ruknuzzaman, Faculty Advisor of GBPS and Head of the Department of Animal Production under FVAS, said:

“The enthusiastic youths of GBPS not only capture the beauty of nature, life, and livelihood through their cameras but also remain actively involved in various social and humanitarian activities. As part of that spirit, they arranged this Iftar Mahfil for orphan Qur’an students. I wish GBPS continued success and hope they will carry on such noble initiatives in the future.”

GBPS President Md. Rumon Hossain remarked:

“Every year GBPS organizes Iftar Mahfil with people from different walks of life. This year, in the first phase, we distributed Iftar to more than fifty orphanage students, and in the second phase, we shared Iftar with the campus’s night security staff. We hope to continue this activity in the coming years as well.”

Besides the orphanage students and security personnel, the Iftar was also joined by over a hundred participants, including leaders of various university organizations. This was the third Iftar Mahfil of GBPS since its establishment in 2019. After the program, different organizations exchanged views and shared experiences.

Notable Attendees:
Representatives of GBiSAS, members of the GSVMC Photographic Club, Tawsif Farhan Susmit (President of the Debating Society), members of GBMC Club, and others.
